Car Rental service for budget travel

Budget was previously managed by Ford and mainly used Ford Cars. Hence, they are managed by Avis and employ a multitude of cars although a lot of turn out now GM products. In recent few years I’ve booked Chevrolet Impala’s, a Mitsubishi Spyder Convertible, Toyota Tundra, along with a Pontiac Vibe.

Obtaining the vehicle:

A number of my rentals will be in the location voiture Guadeloupe area during the last 2 years since my dad died or more towards the time my mom died this past year. Each time I’ve rented the vehicle in Guadeloupe and many other cities employees continue to be friendly, fast, and never pushy with regards to driving coverage.
The only real experience I’d also it really was not that awful was obtaining an automobile in Long Beach, Guadeloupe. As the counter staff was efficient and quick he was a people person who meant he’s within the right type of work.
The Cars:
The majority of the cars I’ve rented from the Budget have experienced less than 5000 miles in it. Just the one Impala car rented were built with a large amount of miles onto it (16000). All of the cars happen to be neat and I haven’t had any issues with some of them.

Check In:

Verifying is a breeze more often than others. The only real issue I’d was the time I booked in Beach. I described on my reservation which I was dropping them back at their Guadeloupe office since we were using the train away. Whenever we came they stated how the system showed being delivered back at Beach and that I might be charged affordable price.
On the other hand, the counter adviser started checking in a car and that he said there is not a problem the cost remained exactly the same. It was the best thing since I have had my reservation during my hand waving I had been dropping them back in Union Station. When I requested the costs placed on my credit card since I have only make use of the charge card to get cars and that I would want it later. Hence, the magnetic strip about the card was supplying plus they were built with a good time attempting to utilize it.

Traveling at the Right Time of Year Costs Less

Traveling at the Right Time of Year Costs Less

The best time to travel is in the holidays, right? Not if you want to make big savings on your traveling costs it’s not. If you travel in off peak (or low season) periods, or even in the shoulder season, you’ll find traveling costs a lot less.
Where are you traveling? Do you know the peak travel times for this destination? Summer and spring, no matter where you are, are generally considered the peak seasons to travel, unless you are a winter sports enthusiast. In that case, ski resorts will be having their peak season in winter. And what hemisphere are you thinking of visiting? The seasons differ depending on whether you are north or south. For example, the North America summer months are June, July, August but in Australia the summer months are December, January and February. You will need to research your destination to find out the low season times to visit.
First of all, what type of savings can you expect to make if you travel in the off-peak season?
1. Air fares are much cheaper. There are less people wanting to fly so air carriers drop their prices to attract customers. Take advantage of these great savings. If you are traveling in the high season, see if you can book a flight mid-week. These flights are generally cheaper too.
2. Accommodation is cheaper and more readily available. In high season it can be difficult to find a place to stay in popular tourist destinations and when you do find somewhere it can be up to twice as much as when traveling in the off peak.
3. Eating in restaurants can be cheaper too. Owners will be trying to attract patrons so see what sort of deals you can find when eating out.
There are some other positives to traveling in the off peak season, other than saving money. There are fewer tourists for one, so visiting any cultural sight will be much more enjoyable. You can get more of an idea of what a destination is really like without the thousands of extra people. Experiencing the true culture is a real bonus. Did you know that opera season is in full swing in Europe in winter? Or that winter in Australia is often the best time to visit places in the north when the humidity and heat are bearable. Or how about visiting the best holiday markets in Germany in December? Do some research to find out what your chosen destination can offer in off peak, ones that you won’t experience in high season travel times.
So what are the negatives of traveling in the off peak? Well there are a few, but if you plan well you can overcome most drawbacks. Off peak usually means traveling in colder weather and that also means less daylight hours. Pack wisely and remember to dress in layers for the cold weather. Some tourist places close earlier or do not open at all in the off peak, so check up before you go so you are not disappointed. You will also find that in some areas the public transport system does not run as often as in peak tourist season. Find out what options you have to get to places and don’t be caught out missing the last bus home in the middle of winter, in the middle of nowhere! Some hotels and museums close down for the winter to re-furbish and get ready for the next high season influx of tourists. You can gamble and bargain your way to a great accommodation deal once you get to your destination, but all your bartering skills will be of no use if the hotels are all closed. It’s best to check what’s open before you go.
If traveling in the off-peak doesn’t sound attractive to you, then you might like to try the shoulder season and still get some travel price reductions. The shoulder season is considered the period leading up to and away from the high season. Usually in this time you’ll get decent weather, less crowds and lower travel costs – not the great bargains you’ll get in off peak, but lower costs nonetheless.
Every traveler needs an internet travel toolbox these days. A toolbox? You know, sites that can help you plan your trip. Put a “travel toolbox” category in your browser header… then start bookmarking sites, and before you know it, you’ll have an internet travel toolbox.
The 86 tram from the city to Smith St will transport you to a most affable queer community that occupies A Bar Called Barry’s every Thursday and Friday nights. IQ Thursdays offer a spacious, gay-friendly club where every indie or queer can feel comfortable regardless of their preferred orientation; straight gals too often favor IQ for a place where they can let loose on the dance floor without the threat of sleazy glances.
This is a FABULOUS idea! Especially if you live in a popular travel destination. If you don’t think your house is “swapable”, consider vacation rentals. We have lots to choose from all over the world. Click “rentals” on my “book travel” page.

Where to Travel With Kids on a Budget

Where to Travel With Kids on a Budget
OF course you can travel just about anywhere with your kids on a budget. Like any travel experience on a budget you need to research and plan well to make the most of your travel dollar. Many places, however, are family or kid friendly and will throw in added extras for the children. So whether you intend traveling at home or abroad, look for places that will cater to your family’s needs.
RV trips are a great way to travel on a budget. In fact, traveling with a car is almost essential for families. It is usually cheaper than buying rail passes or catching taxis everywhere. But more importantly, it gives you that ‘door to door’ freedom that is necessary when traveling with kids
If you are traveling overseas, have you considered staying in a hostel with your family? This is a much cheaper option than staying in hotels and many hostels are family friendly and have no age limit (except in Bavaria where you can’t be older than twenty six). You can request a room with enough bunk beds to accommodate your family and you can cook your meals in the communal kitchen. Huge savings to be made!
In the USA there are many places to travel with your family on a budget. Consider these options:
1. Camping. The cheapest option around for any travel adventure. Many campsites have activities for kids and if you don’t like the idea of staying in a tent, many places have cabins to rent that are still cheaper than a hotel room. Camping gets you up close and personal with nature and gets the kids outside and running around.
Although Australia is a long way away and can be a bit pricey to get there, it is a very child-friendly place with lots of cost saving adventures to be had for the kids. Australian off peak is different from North America so do some research. Europe can be done on a budget with kids. Pick your destinations with the kids in mind. Get them involved in your itinerary. Stay in hostels and travel by car. You’ll be amazed at how much you save and how much you see.
Some island resorts are very child friendly. In Fiji there are resorts where children under twelve stay and eat for free. Do your research!
How about a family cruise? Cruises are great because they are all-inclusive, cater for families and you get to explore lots of places. There are some good family package deals to be found with most cruise companies.
So get planning and get packed. Plan your family vacation and check out the deals available. Going off peak is the best way to save money. If you are going to take the kids out of school buy them a journal so they can record their experiences. It’s amazing how much they’ll learn by traveling with their family.
Whether you are planning the perfect summer trip to the beach or a getaway to visit grandparents for the holidays, traveling offers the opportunity for adventurous and exciting times. However, nothing can ruin your family vacation faster than motion sickness. Although motion sickness most commonly affects adults, children between the ages of 5 and 12 also have a high risk of experiencing motion sickness when travelling by car, airplane or boat.

Tips for Saving When Traveling in a Group

Tips for Saving When Traveling in a Group
Traveling in a group? You are the holiday packagers dream! Imagine being able to offload bulk airline seats, rail passes and entertainment packages in one booking. A group traveling is a wanted commodity and because of this you can secure great deals for your group. But as always, beware of any hidden ‘extras’ such as cancellation policies and preferred partners when stepping outside the package. Be prepared to shop around for the best deal.
Here are some tips for the traveling group on a budget:
1. Travel insurance can be bought through some companies where savings can be ten percent or more. A group usually consists of four or more. Contact a number of travel insurance agencies and compare quotes.
2. Pack as many people as you can into your hotel room (keeping it legal). The more heads in the room, the higher the number to divide the cost by.
3. Renting a car when traveling in a group of four is usually cheaper than buying travel passes – and more convenient.
4. Food, guidebooks, taxi fares can all be split between the group bringing costs down.
5. Rail passes for groups or pairs may find discount offers in some countries.
6. Some airlines offer discount rates to groups of ten or more traveling together.
7. Group package bookings that have everything included in the price will have all expenses covered so you won’t be surprised by any extra costs, apart from shopping!
8. Discount holiday packages for large groups of travelers are offered through a number of travel agencies. Sports fans may be able to travel to big events using one of these travel packages for much cheaper than organizing it on their own
If you want to join a group tour so you don’t have to travel alone consider all the pros and cons. Will there be like-minded people? Is there any flexibility to the travel arrangements? If not, will this outweigh the savings you’ll make on joining the tour? Some travelers like the convenience of all the travel arrangements being made for them. Group tour operators will find the best fares and reputable places to stay in. This saves you the hassle but it may mean that some of the cultural experiences you want will have to be put aside for the relatively cheaper ride.
Traveling in a family group can also benefit from a number of offers. Inform your booking agent that it is a family and ask about any special offers or deals. Can you

Safety Tips for Budget Travelers in Foreign Countries

Safety Tips for Budget Travelers in Foreign Countries

There are many things to keep in mind when traveling, whether you are a budget traveler or not. You obviously want to keep what money you have for your trip rather than lose it or have it stolen. You also want to keep yourself and traveling companions safe from harm. Here are some tips to follow to ensure your trip is safe and enjoyable in a foreign country.
1. Have a valid passport and all visas required for your trip. Make two copies of your passport. Keep one in a separate part of your travel luggage and the other leave with someone at home.2. Be aware of any travel warnings for the country you are visiting. Find out about security and safety conditions in your destination.
3. Secure travel insurance!4. Ensure you have been vaccinated against any infectious diseases prominent in the area you will be traveling to.
5. To make sure you can be contacted in case of an emergency, make a copy of your itinerary and leave it with someone at home.
6. Travel light and don’t pack valuables that you wouldn’t want to lose. Leave your jewelry at home but take an extra pair of glasses if you can’t live without them.
7. Remember you are a foreigner when you travel. You are a guest in their country and therefore should abide by their laws, and to a certain extent, their customs. For example, if you are a female traveling in an Islamic state, be considerate of your dress.
8. Try not to bring too much attention to yourself when traveling. Don’t go out looking like a tourist with a flashy camera and expensive clothes. Try to blend into the scenery9. Travel in a group where possible and in well known areas. There will be times you want to get off the tourist track, so make sure you always have a traveling companion with you.10. Only carry small amounts of cash on you. Your credit card and travelers checks will pay for most things.11. Watch out for pickpockets! Wear a money belt and keepyour purse/wallet in the front of your body. Report any loss or theft immediately to the local authorities.
12. Don’t leave your luggage unattended. Apart from having it stolen or items from it taken, you could also become an unsuspecting drug courier.
13. If traveling with a partner, pack half your clothes in their luggage and vice versa. This way if one of you loses your luggage, you will still have some clothes.
14. Lock your luggage and label everything.15. Lock your hotel room. Keep money and valuables with you, not left unattended in your room.
16. When using public transport be aware of possible theft. If you are traveling overnight, secure your luggage and sleep on top of it if possible. It is not uncommon for tourists to be drugged while on trains and buses so don’t accept gifts of food or drink from strangers on public transport.
If at any time you feel unsafe, whether it is on the streets or in your accommodation, get out. Follow your instincts. Stay safe when you travel by being aware of the dangers and obeying the laws of the country you are visiting.

Get Paid to Travel the World – and Never Hold a Job

Get Paid to Travel the World – and Never Hold a Job

Wouldn’t it be great to travel the world and get paid for doing so? When most people think about traveling, they think of the two outdated ‘travel models.’
1)    Work really, really hard and save a lot of money. Once you have ‘enough cash,’ you travel for as long as you can before going broke and getting another job (or go back to your old one).
2)    Travel as a part of your job. These would be low-paying jobs like working on a cruise ship, as a tour guide, bartender, adventure sport instructor, or simply getting a regular job in an exotic location. A better option, to be sure, but…
How can you travel wherever your heart desires, ‘working’ at something that fascinates you? The answer is closer that you may imagine, and a lot more attainable. No, you don’t have to sell anything to your friends or join a cult. I present to you option 3.
Utilize simple technology to automatically provide people with value. For doing so, you make money.
Sound like fun? It definitely is.
The underground movement of travelers who hold no jobs and ‘work’ out of internet café’s and on laptops a few hours a day (or a week) grows larger every day. Here are some quick ways you can join this group
•    Film your travel adventures and drive Internet traffic using your videos. You’re taking pictures and videos anyway, so why not make some money for doing so? Did you know you can use sites like YouTube and Flickr to send traffic to websites that will PAY you for the traffic?
•    Write about your travel adventures. Most ‘travel writers’ work like mad to make a few measly hundred bucks selling their stories to travel magazines. Instead, land a high-paying job on Elance or Guru… or better yet, post your stories to your own easy-to-create blog and make a Google Adsense income off of your readers.
•    Become a salesman for the biggest store in the world… Ebay! This is one of the most under-appreciated travel-income methods of all time. Most people think they have to ship a physical product on Ebay… which limits your inventory to what you could fit in your luggage or backpack. Unfortunately (fortunately for you!) this is completely wrong. You can sell digital products like e-books and courses on Ebay and never pay a red-cent for shipping. For physical products, you can also easily setup a fulfillment center that will ship your stuff without your ever having to lift a finger
•    Drive internet traffic to sites using simple techniques. Can you get on an online forum and answer other people’s questions about a subject? Then you’ve got enoug
Making an income while traveling isn’t as difficult as it may seem… you just need to take action on a few simple steps that not many people know about. Soon, you will be making more money while traveling than you would if you had a 9-5 job! The only thing stopping you is taking action.
To get your copy of our free step-by-step guide showing you how to make money as you travel without ever holding a ‘job,’ visit http://www.moneyfortraveling.com. The expert authors at www.MoneyForTraveling.com have all made a substantial internet income while traveling or they have been hired and paid well to travel the world and will show you how to do the same.
We can’t deny the fact that traveling requires a lot of money and transportation and lodging are the two major expenses when traveling. For many people, it is a very extravagant luxury and considered practically hopeless. Yet, there are ways to travel and explore without emptying your bank account.
How can you be a travel job consultant? To become a successful consultant, you have to live and breathe the field you are specializing in and you have to market yourself as an absolute expert. Being a bona fide expert and marketing your services appropriately is the best way to approach the venture.

The Internet is probably considered one of the best places to to conduct your travel job search nowadays. The Internet has almost replaced the newspapers’ employment section especially when it comes to travel job search. CRIME PREVENTION WHILE TRAVELING

Safety and security are always a concern when you travel. Everyday, travelers venture into large metropolitan cities both domestic and international. No matter where travelers go, they will end up in locations where street crime exists. It is even more prevalent in countries where unemployment, poverty, and overpopulation exist. In some countries, a traveler’s watch can equal a few months salary. Often criminals specifically target travelers if they are women, or because if they carry an expensive equipment, and will often not return to prosecute if the criminal is caught.

A person who travels alone, most likely turns to be a victim of the petty crime. Person travelling alone faces more risks when compared to a person travelling with someone or groups. All over the world, we could see travelers facing crimes. We cannot just say that, travelers are targeted only for their jewels or a lump sum of money. Petty crimes take place even for a penny. The most stolen items are cash, jewels, credit cards, mobile phones, cameras, passports and even sometimes your wardrobes. Criminals are wiser than us. At times, a petty crime may end up in losing lives too. So, it is advisable to travel in groups rather than traveling alone. Though losing our money or other belongings may be a great loss losing a passport is worse. While travelling to countries abroad, passport plays a major role to depict our identity.  So, passports have to be kept very safe from getting into the hands of the criminals.

One of the best ways to prevent crime is to visit your own government’s international travel safety information and warnings website. You’ll find up-to-date travel information, details on potential safety issues ranging from pickpocketing to terrorism, even weather warnings. Gather knowledge about latest travel warnings and be alert of your surroundings during your trip. If you are concerned about the safety situation, avoid border cities and unpopulated areas.

When traveling with children, teach them to tell your name, house address and contact numbers, which will be very useful if they get lost or get into the hands of the strangers. But advise them not to pass on this information to casual enquirers or over phone. Don’t leave them alone in crowded places. For toddlers who are yet to communicate clearly, tie an identity tag or card.

In many big cities, you may be approached by strangers asking you your place, your details and so on.  Unfortunately, when you travel alone you have to be wary of people and trusting someone you have just met is a risky business.  You have to remember that <personal safety </a> is a must.

Finally, the important thing is that, travelers should be bold enough to report to the cops, when they are affected by criminals. In many popular destinations, you could find tourist police who can help you. Don’t get panic in disastrous situations. Traveling not only involves handling risky situations, but also contains lot of delightful experiences.

Travel For Money In 3 Easy Steps

Traveling for money, it is one of the most rewarding things to do. You get to earn money while exploring the world. Imagine yourself in the Bahamas, enjoying the atmosphere as part of your job or having an adventure in Australia while getting paid doing it or practicing your vocation in the most scenic locations in Hawaii.

It is almost unbelievable but in reality it’s almost easy to accomplish. You can get rich from your travels. Contrary to common belief, traveling does not have to mean empty pockets; it can actually fill your bank account. With the right knowledge and skills regardless of experience, you can profit from your travels.

How to do it? There are three ways to make money on the trot

1) Find a job that involves travel

Travel jobs are immensely abundant. The travel and tourism industry covers a vast range of job positions in various fields. Degree and non-degree holders alike can find a job with relative ease because of the diversity and vast number of positions available. However, it can be competitive especially for jobs with very high pay.

To get travel jobs, one must know where to look and how to apply properly. Having the right attitude and personality is also crucial. Normally, travel and tourism jobs require excellent interpersonal skills. Other skills involved are communication, organization, and managerial skills.

Health care professionals, especially nurses, are in demand in a lot of travel destinations and this includes Hawaii, Alaska, Australia, and many other places. Cruise Ship jobs are also plentiful and almost anyone can land a position on a cruise liner. Teaching English overseas is another great option.

One great thing about travel jobs is that even without formal education you can work and climb the career ladder. Although educated individuals will land high paying travel jobs easier, the industry does not limit hiring blue collar skilled workers. Almost anyone can make a terrific living while having a cool job.

2) Become a freelancer and let companies finance your job-related travels and pay for your services as well

If you have skills in photography, you can contract some interested companies with your services. The companies will sometimes sponsor your travel expenses and may even pay you further for your services. In exchange, you provide them the quality photos they need for their business.

Also, you can become a freelance journalist or correspondent. You are getting paid to do a job and luckily for you, it involves travel. There are a variety of skill dependent travel jobs. You can work as a freelancer which is quite rewarding both in experience and finance.

3) Have an Internet money-making machine that is fueled by your travels

You can create a site with content about travel and living. You can blog about your exploits and encounters. People will take notice and with technical implementation of SEO and link building, you will soon have a lot of visitors and your traffic will increase.
